Privacy Policy
Hyper Bytes Technology (“Hyper Bytes”, “we”, “us”) runs this website, apexdoc.app, to tell people about APEX Document Processor. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This policy covers this website only. Information processed by the APEX service on behalf of our customers is covered by the agreement we have with each customer.
What we collect
When you request a demo. The “Book a demo” form asks for your name, work email address and company, and optionally your phone number and some information about your order volume.
When you browse the site. Like most websites, ours receives technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the site that referred you and the time of your visit. This is collected in our hosting provider’s server logs and by our website statistics service.
We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health or financial details. Please don’t include it in the form.
How we use it
- To respond to your demo request, and to arrange and run the demo.
- To follow up with you about APEX after you’ve contacted us.
- To understand how the website is used, and to keep it secure and working properly.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we won’t add you to a marketing mailing list without your consent.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the website:
- A web hosting provider, which hosts the website.
- A website statistics and security service, which helps us understand how the site is used and protects it from attacks.
- Our email provider, which delivers demo requests to our business mailbox.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose established providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information. We may also disclose personal information where the law requires it.
Cookies
The website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies for visitor statistics, and to keep the site and its forms working and secure. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
How we store and protect it
Demo requests are sent to our business mailbox by email. The website itself doesn’t keep a copy of what you submit. We keep your details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any business relationship that follows, and then delete them. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at the address below and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, please contact us first, and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
